It’s the modern way to market your business. You share information, guidance, tips, and stories.
For the prospects and customers who receive it, it doesn’t feel like marketing. It feels like they have a relationship with you. And that’s why it’s so effective.
For you, it feels like a lot of writing.
Writing website content. Maybe writing a blog. Writing email newsletters or autoresponder series (or both). Writing guest posts on blogs within your field. Writing ebooks, special reports, white papers.
Content marketing is Non. Stop. Writing.
Your forgettable writing
You write one thing, publish it, and turn around and write something else. You write so much, you may forget what you’ve written.
And if you forget it, how do you expect your readers to remember it?
A better approach
I’d like to suggest a different way.
Rather than writing increasing amounts of content, I’d like to suggest you find a way to promote what you’ve written so more people read it, remember it, and share it.
The best way to do this is by pairing your words with images.
Images and words work together to “seal in” the concepts you introduce in your writing. This means that the words you write have greater impact.
Less content, more impact
If you like the idea of writing less but accomplishing more with your content, you’ll love watching the Brown Bag Webinar called Your Ideas to the Power of 10: A Quick & Simple Technique that Makes Marketing Messages Go Farther, Faster.
Kelly Kingman and I put together a presentation that shows you how one person takes a single piece of content she’s written and “goes to bat” for it.
She turns her concepts into images using simple tools that are widely available.
The result? Her content takes on a whole second life, and is consumed, shared and remembered across a variety of platforms.
Her messages get more exposure without her having to write more.
We show you how you can do the same with your content. And you don’t have to be blessed with an “artist gene” to make it happen.
